First Major!  Phoebe earned her first major from the 6-9 class under Mr. William Usherwood.  Thank you for finding her at such a young age!

Best Puppy! At the Western Washington Hound Specialty, Phoebe won best Basenji puppy Mr. S.J, Wheeler.   

GROUP THREE!!! In her second trip into the group ring, Ingrid (CH Gryphon's Alfheim Winter Lady) took a Group Three under Mrs. Pat Trotter.  Ingrid was shown by Ed Thomason to this win and we are excited to see them continue to work together. 

Champion Bahboo!  Yggy (Gryphon's Yggdrasil O Alfheim) went BOS over his brother Siegfried at Hurricaine Ridge in Sequim, WA for two points, finishing his AKC Championship!  It's been a long road, but you earned it buddy-boo.

First Point! Little Gretchen earned her first point under Mrs. Pat Trotter at Hurricaine Ridge.  Not bad for a lil muppet.

New Rally title!  Karl (BIS DC Kimson Countryboy of Alfheim SC CGC VC) is now a nurse!  Well, he's an RN at least.  He finished his Rally Novice title at the Portland Kennel Club show.

New Champion!  Ingrid (Gryphon's Alfheim Winter Lady) has finished her championship in fewer than 8 shows.  We think she has some promise as a special!

Sweepstakes win!  At the Willamette Valley Basenji Club specialty, Phoebe won her large sweepstakes class.  No points of course, but a huge win. 

Phoebe's first point!  Phoebe (Khani's Here to Stay) earned her first point under Mrs. June Penta at the Coos Kennel Club show in Bandon, OR.  Awesome job Phoebe!

First point for Karl's first puppy!  Nos (Alfheim's King of the Wind (owned by Jenny Howe) went winners dog under Mr. William Bergum for his first point!  We are very proud.

Rally legs!  Both Karl (BIS DC Kimson Countryboy of Alfheim SC CGC VC) and Dante (DC Danthony's Dante SC RN CGC FCh JOR TDI VCX) earned Rally legs at the Bel Vernon Kennel Club Rally trial.  Karl earned a novice leg and Dante an advanced.  Good boys!

Back-to-Back Majors!!! Ingrid (Gryphon's Alfheim Winter Lady) won two five point majors under David and Leslie Hiltz.  Pretty good for a pretty girl!

Coursing BOB! Diesel (Alfheim's Sun King) took Best of Breed at the Chintimini Kennel Club AKC Lure trial in Cottage Grove OR.  Good boy!

Another point!  Ingrid earned her second point toward her AKC championship under Ms. Pamela Levander at the Tacoma Kennel Club show in Tacoma, WA.  Good girl!

One more point!  Ticking them off! Yggy (Gryphon's Yggdrasil of Alfheim)  earned another point toward his AKC championship under Mr. Irving Bonios at the Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers show in Tacoma, WA.  Good boy Yggy!

FINISHED!  Bliss, our Canadian visitor earned a four point major to finish her AKC championship.  Blissy was a joy to show.  Thanks to Mr. Leonard Reppond for recognizing Bliss in this large entry.

First Points!  Alfheim would like to congratulate Linda and Yoko for getting their first AKC conformation points.  In two weekends of showing she has earned four points toward her AKC championship.  Keep up the good work!

The versatile hounds of Alfheim do it again! For the second year in a row at the WWWA/NWSGA Versatility Weekend, both Karl and Siegfried won in their breeds for the weekend by participating and excelling in racing, oval track, conformation and ASFA lure coursing.  Both Ingrid and Phoebe, though too young to run, participated in the fun match.  Ingrid even took BOB in conformation!  Phoebe went BOS.  Pretty good for some pretty puppies!

SECOND MAJOR!  We didn't think he would agree to show, but Yggy decided that it would be okay to do a little showing.  He was "on" and earned his second major under Mr. William Russell.  Good boy Bahboo!  And thanks to Anastasia for doing such a great job showing him.

First Point!  Ingrid (Gryphon's Alfheim Winter Lady) earned her first point under Mr. William Russell at the Olympic Dog Fanciers show in Elma, Washington.  Thanks to Mr. Russell for recognizing her type, movement and elegance.

BOB! Siegfried and Alex went BOB at the Olympic Dog Fanciers show two days in a row under judges William Russell and Gloria Geringer.  Great job Alex and Siegfried!!!

POINTED OUT!  Bliss has taken the last of her single points that she needs for her AKC championship under Ms. Rosalie Anderson.  Only one more major and Miss Bliss is an American CH too!

REPEAT PERFORMANCE! "Edda" CH Anthony's P{oetic Edda O Alfheim has given birth to her second litter by BIS DC Kimson Countryboy of Alfheim.  While we were hoping for girls, Edda presented us with 5 boys!  They are healthy and doing great.  We may have to keep one of these guys.

PUPPIES!  "Lucy" CH Kimson's Charmed I'm Sure gave birth to 6 healthy puppies sired by "Remo" - CH Littleluv's Obsession.  We're very excited to see this litter grow.

BOB Coursing!  "Diesel" -  Alfheim's Sun King went BOB at the WWWA ASFA Trial in a sizeable IG  entry of 6.  Good job Diesel!

BEST IN MATCH!!!  "Yoko" - ALfheim's Obladi Oblada went best in match with mommy Linda Pocurull.  Way to go Yoko and Linda!

TWO MORE POINTS! Miss Bliss keeps ticking them off!  Bliss earned two more points under Mr. Darryl Vice.  Way to go Blissy!

EXPECTING!  Lucy has been bred to Remo, (Ch Littleluv's Obsession SC).  Look for puppies in mid April.  We are very excited to see what this match produces.

BIF!!! At the Twin Peaks Ibizan Hound March ASFA trail Siegfried won Alfheim's first BIF!  The competition was tough, but Siegfried did it!

New JC! Siegfried earned his JC title under Ms. Dixie Hirsch and at the trial on the following day went BOB for a three-point major!

NEW DC!  JP, Alfheim's first home bred champion, is now Alfheim's first home bred DUAL CHAMPION!  He finished his Field Champion by taking yet another coursing major.  Good job Joopy!

Two more points!  Bliss did it again at the competitive Rose City classic show under Ms. Ann Hearn, Bliss earned two more points toward her AKC championship!

Juniors placement!  In tough competition at the Rose City Classic Dog Show Alex and JP took a third out of more than 20 competitors!  Woo Hoo Alex and JP!

Major pointed!  At her first show weekend in 2007 Bliss (Can CH Diavolino's Euphoric) took a four point major with some stiff competition.  Thank you Mr. Norm Patton and way to go Bliss!

PUPPIES!!! We are celebrating along with Karl and Edda in the birth of two healthy baby boys.  We are excited to see these two grow up.  Congratulations to the proud parents.

NEW CHAMPION!  J.P. is Alfheim's first home bred Champion!  He took his second major under Mr. Eugene Blake at the Willamette Valley Toy Specialty.  Way to go JP and Alex!!!

FIRST in Juniors!  Alex and JP took best junior again under Mr. Eugene Blake at the Willamette Valley Toy Specialty.  She and JP need only 2 more for a Eukanuba 2007 invite!

TWO INVITATIONS!  Both Karl and Siegfried have earned invitations to the Eukanuba Tournament of Champions for 2006.  While we are unable to attend, we would like to wish all the competitors good luck.

VERSATILE HOUNDS OF ALFHEIM!  At the PNW Versatility Weekend Karl and Siegfried were the overall winners for their breeds, scoring well in LGRA, ASFA, NOTRA and conformation. 

ALFHEIM REPRESENTS AT THE IGCA NATIONAL & NCIGC REGIONAL SPECIALTIES!  We had a wonderful time in California in October of 2006.  In lure coursing, Dante won the field champion stake and JP won his open stake, going on to win BOB!  In LGRA racing the Alfheim dogs did well, but were out of the points.  Miss Edda however, stole the turtle award along with everyone's heart.  She also won her class in sweeps at the National and the regional.  Our guest Bliss placed in her class at the National.  JP and Alex took Best Junior both days and JP took Winners Dog at the regional and RWD at the National.

ANOTHER GROUP ONE!!! Mr. John Rowton found Karl in the Group ring again and in heavy competition presented Karl with his fourth group first for 2006.  Thank you again, Mr. Rowton for recognizing a sound, elegant, typey dog.

TWO FIRSTS AND A BEST JUNIOR!!! Alexandra Erb and JP took two first placements in Juniors at the Enumclaw Toy dog Specialties.  These are her first 1st placements and we know she and JP are going to get many more.

GROUP ONE!!! Karl does it again! Karl wins the toy group under Ms. Terri Lyddon.  Thank you for recognizing Karl's type and soundness.

TWO POINTS!  Oliver whippet earned two more points from the 6-9 puppy class in the competitive whippet ring by going BOW under Mrs. Barbara O'Neill.  Thank you for appreciating this dog's beautiful open side gait and winning attitude.

JC Leg!!1  Siegfried earned the first leg for his JC title at a fun run day in Cathlamet OR.  GO DOG GO!

Mom and Son SCs!!!  Like mother, like son,  Nisse and JP earn their SC titles at the Chintimini KC lure courses in Corvallis OR.  That apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

ANOTHER DC!  We knew he'd do it!  Dante has finished his AKC Dual Champion at the Chintimini KC lure course.  Go red dog GO!!!

Another point!!! Oliver went BOW under Mrs. Lesley Hiltz for another point.  Whippet whippet GOOD!

More Sweeps success!  Oliver continues his sweepstakes winning his class at the Western Washington Whippet specialty under Ms. Lisa Costello.

GROUP FOUR!!! Karl takes another group placement in a VERY competitive toy group at the Hurricaine Ridge KC show in Sequim WA under Mr. Richard Chashoudian.  Thank you for recognizing a little blue smooth dog in the sea of fluffy dogs.

DUAL CHAMPION!!!  Alfheim has its first of what we hope to be many dual champions.  Karl earned his field champion with three back-to-back coursing majors!  Woo hoo Karl!!!

Another sweeps victory!  Again, Oliver proves to be quite lucky in sweepstakes Taking his class at the Brush Prairie shows under Ms. Tanya Brumbaugh. 

GROUP TWO!!! At the Coos Kennel Club show in Bandon OR, Mr. Eugene Blake put Karl up as second in the toy group.  Thank you Mr. Blake for recognizing Karl in the group.

FIRST POINTS!  At his ring debut weekend Oliver whippet earned two points under Mr. Eugene Blake at the Coos Kennel Club show in Bandon, OR.  We would like to thank Mr. Blake for naming Oliver Winner's dog and Jason Maleck & Mike Rosanke for sending us this amazing boy.

GROUP TWO!  Karl took second in group under Mr. David Krogh in Redmond, OR.  We would like to thank Mr. Krogh for appreciating Karl again in the group ring.

NEW CHAMPION!!! Siegfried surprised us all taking back-to-back majors by going BOB over specials in Canby OR.  He finished his title without ever leaving the puppy classes.  We would like to thank Ms. Judith Newton and Ms. Joan Lester for appreciating our wild and fuzzy guy.  Way to go Siegfried!

Sweeps win! In his first sweepstakes fun match Oliver managed to win the competitive 6-9 puppy dog class in all-breed sweepstakes! Way to go Oliver.  We hope this is a sign of things to come.

Major coursing points!  Karl earned his first coursing major in Cathlamet Washington!  This sends him well on his way to his Field Championship!

MOM & SON JCs!!! In Cathlamet WA, both JP and mommy Nisse earned their Junior Courser titles.  Keep an eye out for this exciting duo. 

JC Leg!  JP earned the first leg of his Junior Courser title at the Cascade Coursing Club trial in Snoqualmie, WA!  Look for JP the JC soon at a course near you!

GROUP ONE !!!! Karl took another Group FIRST under Mr. John Rowton.  Not bad for a little blue dog in a BIG thunderstorm!

First Points!  Siegfried earned his first points under Mrs. Dorothy Hutchinson at the Rogue Valley KC show in Merlin, OR. 

Another Juniors placement!  Alex and JP take a third in open senior on a rainy Saturday, OUTDOORS at the Rogue Valley KC show in Merlin OR!

A birthday Group 4!  Mr. Dana Plonkey awarded Karl a Group 4 placement at the Penisula Dog Fanciers show in Elma, WA, just days after Karl's second birthday.  The Elma show is where Karl took his first group placement one year ago after his first birthday.

Group 3!  Under Mr. Frank Sabella, in a very competitive Toy Group, Karl took a Group 3 placement at the Chintimini KC Show in Albany OR. Go Karl GO!!!

Top Junior!  Alexzandra Erb is now ranked as the #5 Toy Dog Junior Handler in the COUNTRY!!! WOW!  How many of those juniors are showing a 9-12 PUPPY????  You GO girl!!!

Third Place!!! In yet another competitive Open Senior Class, Alexzandra Erb takes third place under Ms. Jane Treiber.  Alex, you are AWESOME!!!

Another point for JP!  Way to go Alex for showing JP and getting another point under judge William Bergum.

Two more points for Eika! Under judges William Bergum and Frank Sabella, Eika took BOW for two more points at the Chintimini KC shows in Albany OR!

Second Place! Junior handler Alexandra Erb and JP took a second place under Mrs. Elaine Young in a competitive class of more than 20 at the Peninsula Dog Fanciers Show in Bremerton!  Alex, did we mention we are SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

Two more points!  Alex and JP did it again, taking BOW under judge William Cunningham at the Peninsula Dog Fanciers Show in Bremerton!

NEW SC!!! Karl is now a Senior Courser!  He ran his last two qualifying runs at a trial run by Cascade Coursing Club and Evergreen Basenji Club in Snoqualmie, WA.  He went BOB and picked up two FC points as well.  GO KARL GO!!!

Alex and JP do it again!  At the Seattle Kennel Club, Junior Handler Alexzandra Erb and Alfheim's Holy Cannoli took a third and a fourth place in an Open Senior Class of nearly 30 juniors!!!  Congratulations Alex!  We're SO proud of you!!!

First JC leg! Yggy (Gryphon's Yggdrasil of Alfhiem) ran at the Cascade Coursing Club test/trial for the first leg of his JC.  Go Beezer GO!

BIS IG!!!  We are beyond proud of Karl taking BIS at the Linn County Kennel Club show in Albany OR.  He is one of fewer than 50 IGs who have won an all-breed Best in Show.  Our sincere thanls to Mrs. Sharon Krogh for this honor and to Mr. David Krogh for Karl's first group win.

First points!  Eika (Alfheim's Norwegian Wood) has taken her first point at her ring debut.  Yea Eika!

Another point for JP!  JP went BOW under judge David Krogh for one more point.  JP is handled exclusively by Alex and she continues to do a terrific job!

Hurray for Alex!!! After just 7 trips in the Senior Novice ring with JP for junior handling, Alexandra Erb earned her three first placements and is now in Open Senior!  In all seven times she was NEVER out of the ribbons.  We are so proud of her and consider her to be a vital part of the Alfheim family.  Alex, what did we ever do without you?

Two more points!  JP went WD on Sunday for two more points.  Thank you again Alex for showing him so beautifully.

Karl the TV star!  Look for Karl on Animal Planet April 10th, 2006.  He won BOB the day they filmed the Eukanuba Tournament of Champions at the Rose City Classic.  This is his second year in a row taking BOB at this event. 

One more point for Yggy!  Yggy (the Ibizan) took WD on Saturday for a single point.  Not bad for the one fuzzy face in the ring.  Thank you Anastasia Eastridge for showing him for us.

BOS three days in a row!  At only 9 months of age Edda has gone BOS all three days of the Rose City Classic. 

Champion Gordon!  Gordon is now a Champion after going WD two days at the Rose City Classic!

A BIG congratulations! to Alexzandra Erb for taking first place in Novice Senior Junior Handling at the Puyallup shows with JP!  We are very proud of all the work she's put into this puppy.

WOW!  Group placement already in 2006!!!  In his first weekend out showing Karl took a Group 3 under judge Sandy Wheat.  Way to go Karl!!!

2006 Starts with a BANG!  At the Puyallup cluster Edda went WB the second day to finish her Championship!  She took BOS the next day as a special.  Gordon also took two more points going WD and BOW.  Karl took BOB two of three days. 

Alfheim takes Canada by storm!  In our first weekend showing in Canada, we came home with: Karl: 4 points, a BOW and a BOB, Edda: 2 points, a BOW, two best puppy awards and a puppy group FIRST!!! JP: 2 points Gordon: best puppy award.  Way to go international!

Good job Gordon!  At the Nisqually Valley KC fun match Gordon took a Group first with quite a bit of competition.  Not bad for an IG in a cold barn in the snow!

First points for JP!  Little JP after turning 6 months old, went and got his first two points by going BOW on Sunday at the Willamette Valley Toy Dog Fanciers Toy Specialty.  Thank you Alexzandra Erb for showing him.

Two more points!  Windshift Flash Gordon earned two more points at the Willamette Valley Toy Dog Fanciers Toy Speicalty, by going BOW.  GO GORDY!

First Points, major points!  Windshift Flash Gordon has earned his first major by going BOW over Edda at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club Dog Show.  We are so proud of him!  In his first weekend of showing he did us proud and showed like a champ. 

Major Points!  Anthony's Poetic Edda O Alfheim now has her two majors at the Vancouver KC Dog Show, She went on the next weekend to get another major at Whidbey Island, just for good measure.  She now needs only two points to finish.

FINALLY!!! Dante is now a CHAMPION!  After many, many major reserves, Dante is no longer a "bridesmaid",  He has earned his AKC championship under Mrs. Robert Smith at the Vancouver KC Dog Show.

Alfheim goes to Texas.  At the IGCA National Specialty we represented ourselves well.  Dante won the lure coursing conformation class, as well as 30 ASFA LCM points and Karl placed second in his class in sweeps, made the final pull for BISS (though he didn't win or get an AOM he was proud to be one of the few left standing) and took points in ALL running events, LGRA racing, ASFA and AKC coursing.

Citizen Karl!  CH Kimson Countryboy of Alfheim JC is now a Canine Good Citzen.  He passed the test at the Hutto IGCA National Specialty.

First Points!  Anthony's Poetic Edda O Alfheim took her first three points in two out of her first three shows.  Those who awarded her points had a lot of good things to say about her, including "look out Karl".  We could have another special in the making.

Major points!  Yggy, the big, bad, baby Beezer earned his first points.  Gryphon's Yggdrasil O Alfheim took a 3 point major by going BOB over two specials!!! WOW!  We are very pleased as the judge was looking at movement.  Not bad for an 8 month old puppy!

Karl does it AGAIN!  At the Nisqually KC dog show on Sunday, 8/14/05 Karl took another Group III.  He also earned a total of more than 20 breed points over the weekend.  These wins put him in the top 10 all breed and firmly seats him in the top 20 breed. 

Lucy has puppies!  Miss Lucy aka CH Kimson Charmed I'm Sure gave birth to four beautiful puppies.  Vinne (CH Winsome Speak Your Faith) seems proud but has yet to comment. 

Karl gets a second title!  Karl is now a Junior Courser!  CH Kimson Countryboy of Alfheim JC also went on to BOB for his first AKC coursing points.  Go dog go!

WOW!!!  Karl gets TWO more group placements!!!  CH Kimson Countryboy of Alfheim took two more owner-handled group placements at the competitive Brush Prairie Cluster in July.  He took a Group IV under Mr. George Heitzman and a Group III under Ms. Elaine Young.  Sincere thanks to both judges for recognizing type, soundness and correct movement.  These wins place Karl in the top ten all-breed Italian Greyhounds.  Way to go Karl!

DANTE GETS HIS INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!  Danthony's Dante SC RN FCH TDI CGC is now an international champion!  He took BOB at all four shows that he attended.  Congratulations Dante!

Yggy goes in the International ring... and earns his International Puppy Championship.  Pretty good for a baby beezer.  Look for him to attend his first AKC show in July.

NEWSFLASH!!! Dante (Danthony's Dante SC RN TDI CGC is now an ASFA Field Champion!!! He finished during versatility weekend over Memorial Day 2005.  Versatility includes: LGRA, NOTRA, a conformation match and ASFA lure coursing.  Look for fun pictures of this event on our coursing page.  Congratulations Dante!
